Childhood friends Emily and Jake have shared a lot, but nothing so traumatic as assisting with Jake’s mother’s death when Huntington’s disease made her life unbearable. Years later they reconnect, fall in love, and start a family, but it’s a risk. Will Jake develop Huntington’s disease like his mother? Will Emily be asked to end his suffering too? Honestly, this book was addictive; we were way too emotionally involved to put it down.
